Description:
More commonly known as Horohoro. Horohoro is an Ainu from the northern island of
Hokkaido. His sister is Pirika. He is an
elemental shaman that can control ice. Horohoro's dub
voice is really good as it fits him well, but the dub makes him use a lot of
slang. |
 |
When Pirka gave him the Ikupasuy, he looked extra cute in that scene.
Pirka also makes a statement in their hotel room that Horo did not want to
stay at Funbari Inn because he "just wanted to call mom and dad without
them (Yoh & everybody) hearing you blubber" and Horo telling her that he was not a
crybaby, and tells Pirka that he would call them (mom & dad) if she
thought that he should. So basically it reveals
that Horo does not like to have his parents worry about him and calls them
whenever he can to talk to them. |
 |
In
Katakana, his name (Horohoro) is spelled similar to "Boroboro",
which means "crappy, worn out, old, et cetera. This causes some
problems when people mispronounce his name. When Chocolove jokes with his
name and calls him "Boroboro", Horohoro replies "It's
Horohoro you bastard!" |
 | His real
name, Horokeu Usui, means "Ice Wolf". Horohoro has a past he never
told any of his friends and promised to tell them everything one day. Ren
replies that he never liked listening to Horohoro's stories. He has a rather
estranged and distant relationship with his father. He sees himself as a
"dumb, unworthy son". When he goes off to fight Hao's people, his
father is nonchalant about it and says that he can always have another son.
He only came to see Horohoro because Pirika begged him to. |
 | In
the manga, Hao threatens to tell everybody the name of the girl Horohoro
loves when they are all taking a bath. The girl was either Sati or Jeanne,
since he calls Jeanne "Jeanne-chan". |
 | One
of Sati's 5 Warriors. 3rd Strongest. |
