Episode 44

One More Push

A lot of stuff was was changed in this episode, especially at the beginning. Pino, in the dub, is running away from "the soldiers that took over my village." When it shows an up close shot of him running a man's voice comes in saying "Listen carefully son, if we're ever separated, if your ever in trouble,  run to the center of the forest and call for Badbh." Originally, Pino was running from his own village because they were going to sacrifice him to the goddess Bahbh. And what about the man's voice that comes in? That took over Pino's voice saying something like "Father, grandfather, why?" When he gets to the "forest" Badbh comes to him in the form of a raven. In the dub, she seems angry at him for coming into the "forest" (it seems more like a cave than a forest) and Pino was talking about men taking over his village, and Bahbh saying that she didn't care. Originally, she was asking him why he didn't want the honor of being sacrificed to his god. Then they talk about life not being fair. Badbh comes from Celtic mythology, more specifically Ireland, and is the goddess of war and life. 

Pino's personality was COMPLETELY changed. The dub has him as a cocky moron. The dub has Zoria, Cadamahide, & Pino all from the North Pole. But all 3 of them are from cold places: Zoria is from Russia, Cadamahide is from Iceland & Pino is from Ireland. At the end of the show (dubbed) Pino, Cadamahide & Zoria leave, Pino states "Hey Bahbh, lets go home" and Badbh replying "Yes, lets go home." There was no point in saying that because Pino & Co. show up in later episodes. So it would be pointless for him to go back home to Ireland and then come BACK to America to fight.

4Kids did some really bad editing. Faust's "giant oversoul" was called Mephisto E. Mephisto came from the  name of the demon that Faust I summoned & "E" comes from Eliza. A visual aid showed the relationship between Mephisto and "E". The bad editing was that part of the visual aid was not removed completely from the dub and it was shown for a split second. Advice to any 4Kids rep. reading this: Either keep the scene in or remove it completely because the way you edited it looked really crappy!
