Comments: I'm not fond Ryu, more particularly his dub voice (does he
look Hispanic?! I don't think so!) & his
hair. If I wrote Shaman King I probably would have had a character like him
but without the stupid Elvis look. I mean have you ever seen how big his
shoes are in the manga?! Their HUGE!

Description:
Ryu is the leader of a gang the dub
calls the "Dead Enders". In the manga it does not mention a name
to the group, it only mentions that they are trying to find their
"Happy Place". Also in Vol. 3 of the manga, it is revealed
that Ryu is alcohol-intolerant. He becomes a shaman when he hangs around
Yoh's house and is eventually trained by Mikihisa, Yoh's father. He
eventually joins the shaman tournament to follow Yoh and meets Lyserg, whom
he thinks is a girl the first time they meet, and develops a huge crush on
him.

they say you can't live without being compassionate, and we can't let this
cute kid travel alone. Horohoro: Cute? That's a guy you know!
A GUY! Ryu: What?! Come here....what the hell! Oh, well,
everyone makes mistakes.

In
the manga, he freaks out (naturally) when he is told by Tsukigumi that
Lyesrg had been killed. He hit's the Chinese guy with his pompadour.
